If your natural color is feeling a little drab, highlights may be the answer you’re looking for! An excellent option to add dynamic in a subtle (or not so subtle) way, highlighting provides a fresh look without the need for a total color treatment. From facial structuring to rocking the ombre, splashes of fantasy color to natural blending, our team has you covered!

At The Hair Studio, we have the expertise to apply traditional foil highlights and more precise techniques such as balayage. Depending on your current hair color and desired outcome, our stylists will take the time to consult with you before the process begins.  We’ll provide you with an honest recommendation of which technique will best suit your goal. No matter what method you choose, you can feel confident that you’ll love the result!

What’s the difference between highlights and lowlights?

The difference is in the nature of the coloring. Lowlights involve darkening strands of hair by using darker shades than your natural color. Highlights involve using colors that are lighter than your natural shade.

How can highlights or lowlights change my look?

Highlights and lowlights are more subtle than a full hair dye job. Lowlights can be used to tone down highlights that are too bright for your taste or blend grey into your natural hair. Highlights can add a little more dimension to your natural color, or give you an idea of what a different shade will look like on you before you take the plunge and dye your hair completely. Whatever you’re looking for from your hi/lowlights, our stylists can work with you to make sure that you get exactly what you’re looking for.

Which are right for me?

Well, that depends on your personal style! If you’re looking for guidance on how to apply highlights or lowlights, our stylists would be happy to help!
